I don't believe SKC will issue one although AIA
did.
SKC doesn't have to issue a statement unless there
is a material change (continuous disclosure).
The situation in Australia is vastly different than
in NZ.
The reasons for this have been very fully explained
in the other channel.
In any case: "Jupiter's Ltd expects the deadly SARS virus to depress its pre-tax
earnings by up to $3 million in 2002-03", makes little sense for this
giant.
This was my latest post in
Sharetrader:
I heard that
there is lower Hotel occupancy but the all important gaming revenues are up.
These comprise 75-80% of total revenue and therefore are important.
People who would have travelled overseas are staying home. I suspect some of the increased gaming money comes from this quarter. So, there could be a compensatory effect. There has been some "noise" on this and the previous 2 pages but nothing has come of it. People making rash statements but not having access to information. I did explain the situation though: forget about the effects of SARS on SKC. I did mention that brokers have guided forecasts up to $120 mill. Mine is $105 mill. and I'll stick with it. Investors, please do your own research before making a decision to buy, hold or sell any stock. Gerry |
