Hello David. I'm not sure what your question is.

In general, imo mass media has no real value other than pure entertainment 
... that the media may have vested interests ... that politics is purely 
about gaining and retaining power ... that global finance and economics are 
controllable ... and ... that none of these need be engendered in truth.

Personally I choose to seek out knowledge, filter it, study what I decide is 
truth, and take action on my interpretation, rather than allow information 
to be pumped at me and sit passively like the majority doing nothing about 
it, or worse, trusting someone else (an expert?) to make my decisions for me 
- especially financial decisions.

I try to spend my time acting on the opportunity, and relatively less 
talking about the problems.
