Hi nick, > >Any idea who it from? > Nick > > >not the nine o'clock news ><snip> > Some of it is quite witty isn't it? Nevertheless sharechatters do not be fooled. This is good old fashioned spam. These people do not care that it is *you* who pay to download their e-mail. It is impossible to get off these people's spam list. They are only after your money. The key to finding these cretins is to be found at the bottom of their e-mail. Anyone got some anthrax and an envelope? > > >Subscriptions: $20pa email; $200pa post. POBox 2033 >Moorabbin 3189 Australia. > > Now as to stopping the spam itself. I have complained three times to the network superviser of the source which 'spamcop' gives as: mikel@cynet.net.au Of the 3 compliants sent, none has had a response. Further research leads me to believe that cynet is an Australian ISP that has recently been taken over by 'Subnet', so there is no guarantee that "mikel" is still there. An alternative complaint address is: webmaster@sub.net.au I would urge anyone who gets the offending e-mail to send a copy of the offending e-mail to the above address. Add a statement saying it is unsolicited commercial e-mail and ask for the person who sent it to be dealt with. I would like that webmaster to be bombarded with complaints from people such as us sharechatters. This is the only effective tactic in the war against spam.
