[sharechat] TA Information.
Morgy,
At the Sharechat home page, click on Education, then Learning To Invest,
then Technical Analysis, then Part 5 (Technical Analysis Agenda) This article
will give you some suggestions as to books, sites, software etc.
I am pleased that you see TA as an adjunct to your fundamental approach. In my
experience, the use of these two methods in tandem beats either used alone -
hands down.
In the long run, fundamentals are the more important. In the short run, market
sentiment is the more important. Technical analysis is the study of market
sentiment.
Why not use fundamental analysis to select your stocks, and TA to time your
entry and exit?
Regards,
Phaedrus.
PS: Hugh, take a look at the chart of SOE I posted a few days ago, and you may
see why you would have a very hard job convincing me that TA is
counterproductive.
