One swallow does not a spring make. I think it's
too early to call a trend reversal; particularly if the NZ market follows down
the 1% decline in Wall Street overnight.
A further run up to 2100 on increasing volume would
be needed to firmly establish a rally. At the moment, we seem to have more a
pause by sellers than a rush of buyers.
Government policy settings have been changing since
MMP was introduced in 1996 - & not overall in a pro - business
manner. It's little surprise to witness the decline in our market's
attractiveness since then.
