Why sell any. If you want to keep your portfolio of shares but want some cash 
why
don't you margin lend on it. ASB Securities will lend you money on your shares.

ASB Securities will lend you the following:
CAH - 60%
FBU - 65%
FRU - 55%
RMG - 50%

So if your share portfolio has a market value of say $10,000 ASB Securities will
lend you up to $6,000(rough average of the above). I think the interest rate is 
the
same as the housing rates which is current around 7%.

This method has been popular overseas but has only just reach NZ.
