Hello All Interesting article in Business Herald today about the problems the Metropolis hotel and its apartment owners are having on the return on their investment due to low occupancy rates, with the hotel revealing significant losses caused by it. The report says there is a cancellation of between 3000 and 4000 rooms over the Christmas period in some Auckland hotels and the fallout from Sept 11 is having a disastrous effect on inbound tourism. If its true (tourism no,s), it must be a huge concern for Air NZ as it struggles to keep in the air and flying round with heaps of spare seats would not be helping. Are there any chatters out there who have anything on how the airline,s bookings are looking over this normally busy/profitable time of the year for it? stuart _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/
