The Warehouse Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Carter as an Independent Director to the company's board, effective 1 May 2024.

The Warehouse Group Chair Joan Withers said she was delighted to welcome Tony to the Board.

“Tony is an outstanding appointment whose wide-ranging retail, commercial and governance experience will complement the capability already in place around The Warehouse Group Board

table.

“Tony is a seasoned leader in corporate governance and business strategy, renowned for his career and leadership in some of New Zealand's most successful companies. We look forward to his

contribution as we continue towards our goal of helping Kiwis live better every day.”

Tony Carter said he was delighted to be getting back to his retail roots by joining the Group as a director.

“The opportunity to join such an iconic company is exciting and I am really looking forward to it.”

Tony Carter replaces current director Julia Raue, who will step away from the Board on 31 May 2024.

“I want to take this moment to thank Julia for her invaluable impact and dedication over her seven and a half years tenure on the board,” says Ms Withers.

“Julia's leadership, particularly as Chair of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Committee, and her roles in the Audit and Risk Committee and the Environmental and Social Sustainability Committee, have been instrumental in steering the Group towards a better and more sustainable future. As inaugural Chair of our dedicated Health, Safety and Wellbeing committee Julia has championed this critically important area across the organisation in an exemplary manner.

“Julia informed us earlier of her intention to resign during 2024, allowing us ample time to prepare for a seamless transition. On behalf of the entire board and The Warehouse Group, we thank Julia and wish her the very best in her next chapter.”
