It must be wonderful being so superior and prescient that you are able to "deduce" that negativity arises from a lack of personal knowledge.

I am unsure if your ability to take statements out of context and rearrange them to suit your own purpose (whatever that may be) arises from ignorance, arrogance, or a combination of both.

For the record, I have utilised both TA and FA and have found TA suitable for short term decision making but unreliable, at best, in the longer term.  Conversely, FA has proved fine for the longer term but not good where short term trading is being considered.  I would not wholly rely on either to make investment decisions - if it was that easy we could all be millionaires.

One thing you might have noticed is that I don't hide under a pseudonym, I am prepared to accept ownership of my opinions and don't generally call people "fools" for the opinions they hold - I could be persuaded to change my stance in your case.

You are wasting your breath, there is none so blind as those who do not wish to see.

For some reason having an aussie emial address discounts your comments completely, why I do not know but it obviously does.

I wouldnt mind so much the negativity if it was based on personal knowledge, however some fool the other day was waffling on about "current acadenic thinking" and "broke university lecturers", the same ones who are broke but teach fundamental business analysis.

At no point have I seen a poster say they spent the time learning and it didnt work. But I look at it this way, on the other side of every trade is a loser and I suppose if they werent there you wouldnt be able to take their money off them. Look at the poster who said the markets were gambling, there are millions of these poeple all over the world giving money to other people who understand whats going on. Long live them all. Last week I warned a poster about a share that she was championing had a 3 to 1 sell order ratio on the asx, I recieved torrid abuse from another poster about being a tea leaf reader, I was only reading what was clearly displayed on the screen live from the ASX.

My understanding of fundamental investment is that falling in love with a stock is part of the romance of investment for most people, Van Tharp in his book "Trade your way to freedom" calls it the lotto effect, i.e you have put your money up and now you hope that your ticket comes in.

Nice of you to drop by.

PS, Theres a great saying I love to use on my kids when they are giving me a bit of lip about some sage ( I think so) advice I am giving them , it goes like this, No one is a prophet in there own land.  However I think we should also add, particularly if they have an aussie email address :-)

Regards

>Well I knew there was animosity between Aussie and Kiwi, but Jim! Hey. Presumption is the mother of ignorance.
>I am not an Aussie ( yet ) Though with over 20% of kiwi's livng and on the dole here in Australia I find it difficult to understand the biting of the hand that feeds.
> I am of Indonesian descent, and a Muslim to boot. I am not a liar ( and object to the cowardly slur ) and I am not allowed to recieve interest on any investment.
>I trade very vigoriously and I do make money, very good money. However being a Muslim means that I am only allowed to earn a comfortable living from trading not build wealth. I came into the chat to help and dispel ignorance about TA, however unfortunatly for "Jim" he prefers the ostrich to the eagle ( or do Kiwi's stick their heads in the sand as well )
> If " Jim " would like a challenge I will publish here and now the date of the next high in the SPI. Share Price Index of SFE Australia.
