Sorry to hear about your friend hoop I hope she gets well. I don't agree however with your other view points.Being a capitalist not a socialist {your own words} surely that was the what went wrong with tranzrail in the first place.They sold It off to a couple of bandits who bled It dry and shot off overseas with the loot. If the govt had any brains they would let the oz company take over and double the money they invested in tranzrail. The americas cup created lots of jobs and profits for nz in the past It Is an Investment to try and get It back not an extravagance There will never be enough money to run a proper health service ever regardless If It Is private or public. We not only expect the govt to pay for transplants Implants and everything else we also bleat on about them not reducing the tax rate. The rich people will pay the poor people will die Its still survival of the fittest. Business must come first without that there would be nothing we can only spend up to the earning point after that Its trouble. If you want a decent place to live keep your money In the country building the place up don't Invest overseas take a pride In the place and If you feel the govt are useless do something about It..
