Biotechs are not for everybody, I believe. You
really need a hard headed and cold blooded approach and if you are able
to, get some decent info.
I have posted for a number of years on HC and
Ozestock and so happen to talk to people who at times "know" something.
That is how I came across "Unitract". That info was
from a person who was close to the source in Australia.
Another was GTG. I didn't like it, it went back a
few cents but suddenly doubled last week.
So, there are times when you knock on the door but
refuse a good offering. That is life!
Only a part of my investments are in "Bios". The
rest is in shares which I have held for some time. There needs to be a balance
here.
But, one really needs to know the stock inside out
and weigh/reweigh it to see that the positives are still there.
One of my favourite stocks is Novogen or
NRT.
I mentioned it in late Oct. last year when it was
$1.75. It had a checkered existence, ran to $4, then went back to $3. It could
be in as good position now perhaps: it is approaching double the value at about
$3.45.
One of the biggest problems is waiting for
news: the value of these stocks is news driven.
I like some risk as my heart needs it actually.
Rated as at age 20 (I am 75), it needs the exercise.
And that is how one gets to be over 100 years
old and still maintain a sound mental condition!
