There are such things for the US market.  I'm not sure about NZ!  I 
think you might have to do it 'manually'.  You might find the 
information laid out in the back of the National Business Review each 
week of some use.   But the NZ market is very thin.  If you want to 
check out the 'finance' sector you've got ANZ bank, Westpac, 
Dorchester Pacific (a very different smaller player) and, well that's 
about it.  You might have some doubts that an average based on a 
datbase of only 3 might not be that useful.   I don't know what 
others think, but perhaps you might have to look at NZ and Australia 
as being one market for statistical purposes.  Westpac and ANZ are 
Australian anyway, even if they are listed here.

There is a list that appears in the 'Dominion Post' once a week, I 
think Mondays, that has a list of the 10 fastest appreciating shares 
over the last six months and also the last year.  I don't know where 
they source it from, but perhaps if you want to see further down the 
list you could e-mail them and ask them.  Post back here if you find 
out.  I'd be interested too.
