Courtesy of Stats NZ this chart (oh no not
another chart says hugh and snoopy) shows the number of visitor arrivals for
March years 1993 -2002. An increase from just over 1 million visitors in 1993 to
just under 2 million in 2002 sort of suggests that tourism related
companies have done really well in that time.
Who says that the main driver of success for
THL is the number of overseas visitors?
Doesn't look like the THL share price chart to
me - something must have gone wrong somewhere along the way.
Since 1994 the THL share price has been
trending down (from $6.00 to 86 cents says bigcharts.com). The only period of
strength in the THL price in that time was during 1999 - one of the years of
slowest growth in visitor arrivals.
What a sad story.
Enough said
Cheers
Peter
