You asked Snoopy for some comments about the Air N Z debacle. I hope you do 
not mind if I jump in.

The beginning of the end in my opinion was the Aussie underarm bowling tactic 
of renegging on the open skies agreement. This killed Air N Z's plan to use 
Brisbane as a hub.

I do not blame QANTAS for having a quiet word in the ear of the Aussie govt 
to quash the plan as it was excellent.. If it had succeeded it would have 
been of great benefit to its Kiwi competitor.

I hope you find this thought bubble useful. I am not sure how you will be 
able to include it in your paper.
