I'm interested in SAN from a fundamental (Philip
Fisher "scuttlebutting") viewpoint. Living in the Marlborough Sounds we see
the strength of this company with new factories, boats etc and a significant
stake in the booming mussel industry. The value of their farms in the past two
years must have grown at a huge rate.
SAN also has a sound triple bottom line
reporting policy. I'm sceptical of some cos adopting this methodology as simply
being a PR exercise however we see first-hand SAN being very active in
environmental issues and the initiatives taken to improve the industry image
from an environment sustainability standpoint is excellent.
I understand that many brokers don't like them
because their communication with brokers is very poor. Can anyone
comment?
May have been down priced because of their forex
problems last year and the rising NZ$ won't help but still a sound growth
company.
Really interesting to look at their technical
indicators on a chart. Again sorry I haven't mastered the art of posting a chart
yet so hope someone else can oblige.
As I see it though, they have been in a long term down since a peak in Aug last year
confirmed late Jan this year. Seem to now be in a very tight holding pattern now
since early April. Considerable support at $5.50 which is where it is now and
some resistence at $5.60 and $5.70.
Any further comments from a FA or TA
perspective?
Cheers
Brian
