Hi Benjamin, > > >Approximately what month do listed companies release their >annual reports to the market in New Zealand and in >Australia? > > I'll answer for New Zealand. The tax year for individuals ends on 31st March each year. But companies don't have to keep to the same schedule. Some companies that are controlled by a US parent work it so that the end of tax years for parnet and satellite co-incide. Popular end of financial year timing is to finish up at the end of December and the end of June. Typically the annual reports come out 2 to 3 years after that date. Most companies issue half year reports too, but there is no compulsion to release quarterly reports as in the US. The only definitive answer to your question, though, is that it depends on the company. HTH SNOOPY PS Perhaps an Australian subscriber could answer the Australian bit of the question? --------------------------------- Message sent by Snoopy e-mail tennyson@caverock.net.nz on Pegasus Mail version 2.55 ---------------------------------- "Sometimes to see the wood from the trees, you have to cut down all the trees." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/
