I am contemplating putting some money into bonds. With Allan Greenspan determined to keep the U S economy ticking over by throwing (almost) free money around, the yields that are available to me here in N Z are not very good. The ideal time to buy fixed interest bonds is when yields are high but there is always the worry that they may go even lower, or alternatively higher and you may locked in at a low yield. My question is what direction do you think that yields will go? I realize that this is a "what will happen in the future" question. If you were able to answer it with accuracy you would be able to spend you days basking on a tropical beach like a seal. The hardest part of your working day would be to talk by cellphone with your broker. Have a go answering the question. If you are basking on the beach as part of your daily graft say so. It will add credibility to your opinion. Boop-boop-de-do Marilyn P S <Will Bryant> Check the headers of this message.
