I agree, however this would mean that directors and 
management of such companies would have to develop 
a conscience.

Is all fair in love, war & business?

Would I warn someone, that the shares that I wish
to buy from them are worth more than I'm offering?

I think not. 

So what if I controlled the management
of the company that I'm making an offer for?
Would I give them free reign if I could get away
with not doing so ?

No.

Do I blame Cullen Investments & Edison Mission et al. ?

No.

So where is the answer?
