Re: [sharechat] Film " Lord of the Rings " and Tourism
Gerry
There will be a downturn in tourist numbers due to the crisis but tourism
isn't going to go away. I noticed on last nights news a couple of tourists
in NZ no longer wanting to go to Aust due to their participation with USA in
Afkanistan. If that is a general perception out there and tourists that need
to go somewhere and no longer to USA/UK or Aust then that has to be good for
NZ as
1. a number one destination
2. the best alternative if they were originally going to the above.
Lord of the Rings should help attract a whole lot of new tourists that may
not have ever contemplated coming here. Having not seen the Movie, I hope NZ
was "sold" during it.
Should also be good for FOR. Expecting Box Office records World wide.
