IMHO it was this interference in the whole set up to benefit Quantas and 
there own pollitical ends & there more of less forcing the ACCC to allow 
Quantas to buy The other Discount airline Despite both Ansett & Virgin blue 
complaining. This gave Quantas a huge cut in operating costs. This is 
australian government Policy as was the oringinal purchase of part of ansett 
when they rennegged on a deal that would have let air NZ fly domestic routes 
in Australia
