The last thing I would do with rights is to sell the head shares to take them up (well OK I might draw the line at selling body parts before that!). Mind you, I tend to think in thousands of dollars or tens of thousands of dollars at the most, not hundreds of thousands of dollars. If I did have to stump up six figure sums it might be different! I can usually arrange it so that I have enough money in the bank, should a rights issue come up, to cope. I wonder if you and I are unusual, or in the majority John?
