Subject: Re: Re: [sharechat] force Thanks Grant ,Two points i would
take you up on ,one , videos have been around
for what approx 20 + years and the
cinema industry went through a revival in the
last decade( dont know recent
figures) going to the cinema
being as much a social experience
as watching the
movie itself , and the time lag
between
new release on
the big screens and when videos /
dvds are available to the general
public.
second point , re
small small parcels
of shares being picked up at a cheaper
price , the majority of shareholders
didnt take the original offer so i cant see
them excepting less in the future. (im not
quite up on new take over rules i
thought all holders had to be offered
the same price , and i dont believe
the loop hole Lion have discovered
will be allowed to continue as it
just negates the reason for setting up
the rules in the first place)
and maybe to even
take you up on the issue of
institutions being interested (or not)
now that sky have 51%
most institutions usually
only look at companies in the
top 40 index regularly holding between
10 -15%
where they see value.
and if anything i
would of thought with sky:s track
record any company they control
would be attractive
to shareholders (big or
small) i admit
this is not reflected
on the share price at present hence
the discussion. regards mike g
