        I had already replied directly to Pedro re his questions. Here is my 
answer to (c) verbatim :-  
 You can use TA without understanding too much of the underlying maths, but 
this could not be recommended. The more you learn, the less you will lose when 
you start trading. Books are the most cost-effective way of learning in my 
opinion. Read all you can borrow or buy.
