Athol,
The interim was due on 16 March and I received it
on 23 March. Your given date is far too late, presumably a transcription
error.
Not all Australian dividends are taxed in
Australia.
Most financial companies with 100% imputation,
pay full dividends and you pay tax on these in NZ.
You can't make use of any imputation. The company
of course has already paid the full tax on their profits.
You should get full CLH
dividends in the future and pay tax in NZ.
CLH does not
need your money and pays dividends in cash
only.
