Geof,
As far as I know, the 2 brothers McLachlan were
running the firm for some time. One resigned and Boult took over as
chairman and got the then mess sorted out.
I am a shareholder and visited their HO a few
times. They were then down Tutanekai street having moved from a Mayfair built
office on Fenton Street, Rotorua.
They did have some powerfull type 400
computers from IBM who still consider BCH as one of their
top customers and fully support them in their literature.
BCH always have VIP status
with IBM!
I used to recommend BCH to some
brokers I knew; very few mentioned it to their clients for quite some time,
presumably, because they lost a lot of money on this stock
before!
I learned one lesson: Give something away for free
and " there must be something wrong with it ". If you want people to believe
you, make the fee high enough because then " it must be good " !
I think that we did very well out of
BAYCORP, Geof ! Remember, they
were selling them @ 8 cents at one stage, I think!
All one needs is a couple of these high-fliers and
they will look after your needs for ever!
Somehow I think that CLH or
Collection house will be a good companion stock to have!
