Gerry - thanks for that feedback on
Collection House (CLH)
Their current strategy of making acquisitions
that both expand their geographical reach as well as expanding the total package
they offer appears to be working. As you say the acquisitions CLH
make 'have a place' in the overall vision as to where they want to be
in the future. Obviously driven by strong leadership
Like Baycorp they not just
debt collectors but now offer a whole raft of information
services.
Long time ago (I am pretty sure but stand to
be corrected if my memory is fading) Baycorp were called Bay
Collection Services based in Lyall Bay, Wellington - hence the name Bay. They
were just debt collectors in those days and only operated locally. Main
oppposition was College Credit and Creditman's - both names long gone and merged
with others.
Amazing how far Baycorp have
gone over the years. The way CLH are going at the moment they
will be just as successful.
Interesting that Baycorp
have some concerns about their image as 'just a debt collector' and are
making efforts to change that perception.
Really good piece from Independent News that
Baycorp have on their website - entitled 'Baycorp ditches intimidating
image' http://www.baycorp.co.nz/about_baycorp/media.asp?CatID=1&NewsID=632
Have a read - if it works will raise the
profile of Baycorp, and other like companies, to a new level of
awareness.
Cheers
Peter
