this competition under this topic only
!!

the FORUM page will not be valid: We

How to enter your
replies:
Let us assume, you think
that the lowest DOW
reading in the above mentioned
period will be 8346 points and that
the lowest NASDAQ
reading will be 1438
points.
Just enter: 8346
1438 (
Please enter whole numbers only )
Notes: I shall prepare a
summary of all valid entries and remove any unwanted words or decimals, eg.
a reply of " above 8346
1438.6 " will be amended to read "
8346 1438 ".
Should you enter: "
1438 8346 "
,then I shall amend this to read "
8346 1438 "
Obviously, the DOW reading will tend to be
higher than the Nasdaq in this period.
Rules of the competition.
It is rare but
possible that one participant may win both prizes !
Please note that you may only
enter your reply or selection between 7 am. and
midnight,( NZ time )!
Any entries /
replies made between midnight and 7 am. will not
be valid and will be excluded.
To decide the winner, the closest entry must
win. If there are 2 prospective winners
in one category, then the earliest entry
wins.
The discussed DOW
/ NASDAQ readings will be those recorded at the end
of the days' trading and will be obtained from the New York
Times. These readings - which are to 1/ 100 of a point - will not
be rounded to the nearest whole
number.
Should my computer be out of action, then the
readings will be taken from another source.
I shall make an occasional entry under the
previously mentioned Topic of the Message Boards so
as to keep you informed.
You may also want to comment from time to time,
using this Topic only ! May I suggest that you keep these
comments to a minimum as otherwise the Message Board could be
clogged within a short time!
Only one set of entries per email
address will be accepted; the competitor promises not to use multiple email
addresses.
The email address, be it real or a
pseudonym, must be visible !
Should there be a disagreement about
any matters arising from this competition, whatsoever,
then any decision made by the Competition organizer will be final and
will be accepted by the competitor.
