A lot of analysts indicate FFS to be worth around
50cps (and this is at the bottom of the commodity cycle). People investing
in FFS hope that the restructuring will unlock this value - with some of the
longer term investors recovering their investment. Also once the company
becomes stand-alone it could be the target for takeover bids. All of
this seems rather independent of the NZ economy.
FLB is more reliant on current industry
conditions. But activity seems to be increasing in the building sector
both here and across the Tasman.
As for entry prices, I would be happy picking these
stocks up for the prices you suggest.
