Ben,
Thanks for acting on my (and other peoples') suggestion
of posting the 1999 list -- it is most interesting.
In fact you could just about say that the top few
shares in the 1999 list are mirror imaged to nearly the bottom of the 2000
list.
On this basis, after weeding out shares that have
ceased (or soon will cease) trading as well as warrants and options, one would
expect the worst performing shares NEXT year to be:
RNS
GDC
MCH
WRI
WKL
VTL
BCH etc, etc
Obviously the pattern won't be repeated exactly because
there isn't another single sector that is so overvalued now, compared to what
the Tech sector was at the end of 99. However I wouldn't be surprised to
see at least a few of the above shares at the bottom of the performance list for
2001.
