Chatters
It wasn't that long ago that the wise money was being directed offshore and
that the Pacific Peso ($NZ) was being touted as overvalued even at US 40
cents. Now the dollars on the rise and it must be hurting some who chased
the "good value" in Australia, Singapore or the European bourses.
We seem to be in a time of inaction on the NZ Market, small volumes and
small values, the situation stocks such as Fletchers, Air NZ and Telecoms
hogging the limelight.
I'm wondering will the smart money come flooding back? Is the NZ
market ready for its giant leap forward post the Christmas institutional
squaring off of portfolios.
What are your feelings, are we still in a defensive mode, the bears looking
at AIA, SKC, the banks etc or will the new year bring out the bulls?
I'd value other opinions. Personally I'm a little bull rather than a
big bear.
