I too had a similar problem with Transalta. We didn't get a bill in 8 months. I phoned them several times. After several goes, my phone calls finally had a material effect and copies arrived of the bills they had been sending out which were addressed to someone called "gnc" in Christchurch despite supply to our Wellington address. You would think that either the post office or whoever was receiving these bills would have sent them back. So next, only a week after copies of the bills for the previous eight months finally arrived, a guy turned up to disconnect us as we had an overdue account. If it wasn't that by chance I was at home, we would have been disconnected. So now with the billing address and arrears sorted out, the next bill arrives and has a $30 "visit fee". Well I must also say in their defence that they promptly wote back after I emailed them and they deleted the $30 charge but if they could have just got the address right............ michael Warner Lamb wrote: > I can say first hand, Snoopy..Its very true.
