i'm barely consolable! if any chatters can find it in their hearts (brain power is of little help) to find something cheering to comment upon, i'd love to hear it. question: how long does one have to operate a helicopter line before learning to take the weather into account? perhaps i could contribute by pointing out that it has been demonstrated for decades that humans are stuffing up the atmosphere and stratosphere with sufficient chemicals to disrupt the 1950s style of weather patterns for ever. the so-called 50- and 100-year storms, floods and gales (beloved by the media) can easily turn up twice a year. surely someone in thl has the gumption to approach appropriate scientists AND to understand the answers. thl's press release -- original version is under 'news' on the sharechat's quotes and charts section of the marketplace -- also claims that the "olympic factor" was one of the contributors to the first quarter's results from australia being "well short of budget". this strikes me as deeply pathetic. i've known that the 2000 games would be in sydney for several years. could it be that the thl management was surprised by this -- or just that they were incompetent to calculate the effects. if the reasons given for the poor first-quarter and decreased profit predictions are actually valid, the management may wish to consider replacing bean-counters with thinkers. This Grump bought thl at 2.57. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, jefley ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors http://www.netbroker.co.nz/ Trade on Credit, Low Brokerage.
