Re: [sharechat] Dot went wrong
yeah, its interesting that the major article in the Economist on the New
Economy
came down with the view that the IT/Internet wave of new technology
would produce a smaller worldwide impetus to growth than the advent
of electricity but that it would happen rather more quickly.
Where to for the next excitement? GM and bio-tech if the greenies
don't mange to strangle it....
It was a strange feeling when sober analysts came out saying that
Amazon.com
for example would need to corner the entire future book market of the
US to even begin to justify its share price....and yet any questionning
led to immediate attacks in Sharechat by fanatics who felt one
was trying to hold back progress and sabotage their pet shares
by pointing out that the emperor was a little deficient in the clothes
department....
Well, the blood and corpses on the floor this morning are rather less than
I thought.
The now ritual hara kiri of the NZSE at a small fall in the DOW
seems to be less enthusiastic than the usual hallowed tradition.
Maybe people are starting to actually look at the data and see the NZSE is
rather
undervalued vis a vis the DOW and NASDAQ.
cheers,
Hugh
