Hi Adam,
Sorry I have to disagree with your assertion that Reflect and Beauty Direct
have similar business models.
As the article says Reflect "offers only its own line of products" and its
big challenge is to "build a brand".
Beauty Direct offers established brands and as Gary Lauder, icon of the
cosmetics world, says in the same article   "online business is about
replenishment not discovery". Beauty Direct obviously have this belief as
one of their a fundamental platforms. Reflect obviously do not.
My personal thoughts on B2C are that it eventually has to come in a big way.
Presently its not in favour but just give it time, it'll be similar, but
perhaps more specialised and product focussed, to the mail order catalogues
like those of Sears Roebuck 100 years ago.
