[sharechat] Lost sell position
Dear Warner,
When a stock has a record date and ex-date for any
reason the NZSE will 'purge' all orders from trading
screens. For example when TEL goes ex-div all buy and
sell orders will be purged by the NZSE and must be
replaced by brokers. This happened when your stock
went ex rights.
Your problem occurred because your broker didn't get
your order at the top of the cue because someone else
bet them to it. There is nothing the NZSE can do
about it and it is something that you should discuss
with your broker.
Kind regards,
Sarah Corkill
