The company that collapsed probably went into imax to soon, the range of films etc was very small and it was in very early stages. Anyone who has never been to imax will not realise the potential of it. The 3d effects etc on a massive screen are fairly awe inspiring. The range of films available is growing by the day and the imax in the force centre should be a genuine tourist attraction. Planet hollywood is up there with the hard rock cafe as a brand and should also be good for force, and the centre in general. The initial news of the company collapse and the negative report in the herald etc have probably spooked a few people into panic selling. There may be a few problems we dont know yet. Personally i will not be topping up my holding in force until i know, but neither will i be selling. nick > IMAX is not part of FORCE however the theartre is situated in the FORCE > entertainment centre building in Queen ST. One point though is > the price charged to go to the IMAX theartre is $14 something for adults and > about $9 for children which is really steep hence you go once to check it > out but not often. > DIS: Brought FOR for IHUG deal but sold after deal collapsed. > > >From: "nick" <acummin@es.co.nz> > >Reply-To: sharechat@sharechat.co.nz > >To: <sharechat@sharechat.co.nz> > >Subject: Re: [sharechat] Cinema deal collase > >Date: Fri, 2 Jun 2000 10:20:16 +1200 > > > > Force share immediatly dropped 13% to 38 > > on volume of around 90000 shares 40000 dollars. > > They have come back to 40 thoufgh on 180000 volume. > > There should be plenty of resilience in the price, > > cant imagine anyone wanting to sell for less than 40c > > > > nick > > ________________________________________________________________________ > Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- > http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors > To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at > http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.shtml. > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.shtml.
