Bollocks. If you're making software or otherwise creating technology for
export, there's very little wrong with being here. The IRD's treatment of
R&D expenditure is a negative, but OTOH lifestyle-wise NZ is pretty sweet.

was "what a pussy". A personal tax hike of 6% on income over $60,000 and
this guy is willing to _shift_ _countries_? Sure, it's biting me for a
few thousand more but... I can compare that to what those incompetent
bastards at Telecom would like to soak me for a simple DSL connection.
If the Government can get some competition into the data market, then
I'll come out ahead and that tax money will have been well spent.

[ Well, I could happily live in Oregon or Ontario, and I suspect many
  NZ'ers would enjoy the pace of life there too. ]
