Dow slips - Nasdaq takes a hit

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- A slumping technology sector kept the Nasdaq in the 
minus column Monday with most of the weakness stemming from big-cap tech 
stocks. Selling in the networking arena due to a fall in shares of Cisco 
Systems weighed on the Nasdaq. Also lower were shares of Internet and 
computer software companies.


Cisco losses compress Nasdaq

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Softening shares of Cisco Systems caused technology 
stocks to crumble Monday after a published report sparked renewed fears 
about richly valued stocks in the technology sector.
