RE: [sharechat] EStar Online
Pleased to see this thread has generated some discussion.
I have followed Estar's [the parent] progress a little since their listing
on the unlisted board.
Some facts I have at my finger tips, and I think and hope I'm correct on
these, are:
1. Estar's original price was 33cents.
2. Shares were almost impossible to get with most of the IPO going to
"insiders" and "professionals" including Southern Capital ex Brierley man,
Graham Wong's company; Murray Doyle of Deutsche Securities; and ex Deutsche
man, Paul Harrison.
3. The Southern Capital team are not new boys to the corporate world.
4. EStar traded at up to around $1.10 within a few days, maybe a week
or two, of listing.
5. CDStar have been reported [early October 1999] to be predicting a
profit by the end of this year and EStar within three years.
6. Trading of Estar was suspended pending its listing on the main
board.
I personally am bullish about EStar, and longer term, also about Southern
Capital.
What would be really nice to know is how many, and what dollar value of,
CD's has CDStar already sold, and how does this fit in with the larger
picture of the Parent, EStar.
