With CDNOW the biggest online retailer of CDS looking very shakey, is it really a good time to get into EStar? Maybe, but for the longer term I think. At the moment I buy CDs from CDNOW. They have alot of pretty obscure stuff which I'm interested in and have sound samples of most albums. With CDNOW, the biggest online retailer of CDs looking shakey, is it really a good time to get into EStar? Maybe the best approach is to be cautious, buy a small packet of shares in the IPO just in case it takes off. Then look for a price drop after listing and buy more then? Derek (disclosure -I won't be buying any myself) P.S. The fidelity of several MP3s I've downloaded from the net were not up to CD standard and didn't impress me at all. But I guess that since teenagers are probably the biggest buyers of music and often don't care about the quality of it then MP3s it is definitely a threat to the music industry. In my opinion it serves the music companies right for overcharging on CDs for years. DVD-audio will blow CDs away in terms of fidelity, but then again this may not be a big drawcard since CD's were worse than vinyl and few people noticed. ----------------------------------- Derek Watt http://members.tripod.com/DKWatt/ ----------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors To remove yourself from this list, please us the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html.
