As a subscriber to some overseas BBs and also to one emailed share forum (500+ messages per day), I have gained a tremendous insight into markets outside NZ.

My suggestion would be to use the present forum for NZ / Australia.

Reason is that in five years there will be only one trading exchange but with local operators and there is already considerable dual listing.

Secondly, is to have one forum for the rest. Most interest would be US/Nasdaq and UK.

However Easdaq in Europe will become very prominent as an example of the future.

I for one have had only limited interest in discussing UK stocks here, but those who I have been in contact with will know that I have access to huge data resources (most of it free) to the extent that I know more about Vodaphone than I could ever know about Telecom. Share prices on a genuine real time basis for UK, US, Canada and Italy are available. Easdaq is coming.

Frankly, I would like to have similar access to US market data but it would be too much information for one person to handle.

The splitting of these lists would allow you to avoid wasting time on the areas that you have no interest in.

I am also an advocate of the emailed list system as you can receive postings whenever on line and reply as appropriate.
