Smiths City Group (SCY) has announced that independent director Susan Jane Sheldon has given notice that she intends to resign as a director on November 30.
Sheldon was appointed a director in May 2005.
SCY chairman Craig Boyce says Sheldon has made a substantial contribution to the board of Smiths City.
"Her knowledge of business and governance issues and her background in the accounting profession made her a valuable member of the board."
He says following on from her recent board appointments in major NZX companies Smiths City Group reluctantly accepts her resignation from the board and wishes her all the very best for the future.
