WELLINGTON, New Zealand – Chatham Rock Phosphate Limited (TSXV: “NZP”, NZX: “CRP” and 3GRE (Frankfurt Borse) or the “Company") is pleased to advise that a major reseal on an arterial road connecting to Phosphate Hill has significantly advantaged our recently permitted Korella North Mine.

With Korella North Mine initial sales intended for the domestic market, good roads right to the mine gate are essential.

Korella North Mine is located on the Phosphate Hill to Duchess Road - locally called the Duchess Phosphate Road. The Duchess Phosphate Road is a key transport corridor for copper, gold and phosphate mines in the south of Cloncurry Shire, who rely on this road for their operations.

The completion on 18th November 2024 of the reseal of the Duchess Phosphate Road provides confirmation that Cloncurry Shire Council fully supports mining within the Shire.

This extensive reseal project is just one example of the Council’s investment in infrastructure that sustains and enables economic growth in the Shire.

The contract for the Duchess Phosphate Reseal Project was awarded at the 6 August 2024 Cloncurry Shire Council meeting to RPQ who delivered 52.8 kilometres of reseal by 30 November 2024.

The 60km long Duchess Phosphate Road connects with the 100km Duchess to Cloncurry Road which was fully upgraded in 2023 with State and Federal funding.
