10th February 2022 Morning Report

US market closed higher on Wednesday with Big Techs leading the rise. 

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 0.97%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were up 1.45% and 1.94%, respectively. 

Other key markets ended higher. European stocks closed as follows: the FTSE100 (+1.01%), the Dax 30 (+1.57%), CAC 40 (+1.46%) and the STOXX (+1.81%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices ended mixed. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(+1.08%), HSI (+2.06%) and the Shanghai Composite (+0.79%).

The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 1.93%, while the 2 - year note was at 1.346%. Oil was down to $91.40 per barrel, up 0.68%. The gold price was at US$1833.60 per ounce, up 1.42%.
