Genesis Energy has appointed Michael Fuge to the new position of Chief Operating Officer.
Fuge joins Genesis Energy having spent a significant part of his career in general management roles in the oil and gas industry with Shell in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia, including roles as General Manager Operations Brunei and Transformation Manager for Petroleum Development Oman in Oman.
For the last three years, he has been the General Manager Delivery for Gen-i in New Zealand, leading more than 1300 people and managing over 3500 business customers throughout Australasia.
Fuge will join Genesis Energy in early September 2011. The existing General Managers of Customer Experience and Energy Management will report to the new Chief Operating Officer and will continue to be members of the Company's Senior Management Team.
