Glass Earth reports "significant" results at Muirs

Glass Earth Gold is reporting results it calls "significant", from surface channel sampling at the Muirs gold prospect in the Bay of Plenty.

Gold mineralisation intersected at the surface included 24 metres of 5.7 grams per tonne of gold, with results up to 33 grams per tonne, the company said today.

Glass Earth chief executive Simon Henderson said the results confirmed the potential of the Muirs prospect.

As well as continuing with steady groundwork, the company would also be gearing up for a new drilling campaign to keep adding depth to the "exciting" ground, Henderson said.

Recent exploration at Muirs had concentrated on surface channel sampling, which had discovered significant quartz veining, exhibiting multiple phases of gold deposition, across more than 450m of the prospect's southwest extension, Glass Earth's statement said.
