The company has bought Victorian graphic design prepress business, Montage Graphics, which it says will allow the business to bring all existing carton prepress services in-house.
Packaging Australia chief, Vanessa Stoddart, says the acquisition is further confirmation of Carter Holt Harvey's commitment to the packaging industry in Australia.
"We are constantly looking for investment opportunities, where we can add value for our existing customer base through increasing our capabilities and technology.
"This further enhances the offer we can make to our existing Australian customers whilst continuing to service and grow the current Montage customer base."
Packaging Australia has already spent $20 million on capital investment this year, including installing two new printing machines.
