Total operating revenue was virtually flat over the comparable periods at $13 million, and tax paid $477,000 less.
Earnings per share have dropped from 15.3 to 8.2 between the periods and shareholders will not get a dividend this time around.
The company's directors say although its profit is down in the half, they believe it is on track to match the 2001 profit of $4.22 million.
