Microsoft New Zealand has made two new senior appointments - Donna Wright to the role of services director and Frazer Scott to the role of business, marketing and operations director, with both to start in mid October.
Wright's core responsibility will be to oversee all activities relating to the services business in New Zealand, including consulting services and premier support groups.
Further to this, Wright will be responsible for implementing the Worldwide Services Strategy within the context of Asia Pacific and the New Zealand subsidiary.
Scott will lead the team responsible for Microsoft New Zealand's product and customer marketing, public relations, marketing communications, advertising and business planning function.
He has been promoted from his current position as acting Australia/New Zealand marketing director for Xbox and PC.
Managing director for Microsoft New Zealand Paul Muckleston says both Wright and Scott were chosen from a very strong sets of candidates.
Wright joins Microsoft from Coca-Cola Amatil (NZ) where she held the position of chief information officer and oversaw the management of all New Zealand based infrastructure and services. Prior to that, she was corporate solutions manager for Air New Zealand and business systems manager for Ansett Australia.
Muckleston says this experience across both airlines and the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) industry has given her extensive experience in staff development, systems strategy, and portfolio and programme management.
Scott has enjoyed a number of senior roles in the Xbox world across Australia and New Zealand including ANZ regional sales manager, director of ANZ Business Management and most recently as acting ANZ marketing director Xbox and PC.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Frazer worked as a New Zealand sales manager for Sony Corporation.
