Sky and Cricket Australia have today announced that Sky will continue to be the exclusive broadcast partner in New Zealand for international and selected domestic cricket played in Australia.

The partnership extension commences at the start of the 25-26 season and is for a minimum of four years, ensuring that Sky customers will continue to enjoy an extensive line-up of cricket played in Australia.

In year one of the partnership (25-26), cricket fans can look forward to men’s ODIs and T20s with South Africa and India, the biannual Ashes, and the women’s series with India. The following year (26-27) will see the BLACKCAPS take on Australia in a four Test series, and the WHITE FERNS in ODIs and T20s, alongside tours from both men’s and women’s teams from Bangladesh and the England men’s team, including the 150th anniversary Test match.

Domestic cricket on offer as part of the partnership will include the Big Bash League, the Women’s Big Bash League, selected Men’s Domestic One-Day matches, Prime Minister’s XI matches, Governor-General’s XI matches and Sheffield Shield Finals.

The extension of the long-standing partnership with Cricket Australia complements the recent announcement of Sky’s renewed partnership with New Zealand Cricket for home internationals.

Both partnerships play an important role in Sky’s comprehensive cricket coverage including men’s and women’s ICC events (such as the ICC Cricket World Cup, ICC T20 World Cup, ICC World Test Championship, ICC Champions Trophy, ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup and ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup), Sky’s partnership with the BCCI for men’s and women’s international matches played in India, TATA IPL and TATA WPL, demonstrating Sky’s position as the local broadcaster of the world’s premier international cricket events for New Zealand audiences.
